Treasured Family
Donald R. Schwartz, 75, of Flagstaff, Ariz., died September 6 in Phoenix, surrounded by his family. He was born in Pittsburgh, Penn., to John and Stella Schwartz, the youngest of four boys.
 Mr Schwartz is survived by Ginny, his wife of 52 years; his daughters and their spouses, Julie and Peter Obre of Sandy Hook, Janice and Bruce Willoughby of Tempe, Ariz., Joan and Tim King of Paradise Valley, Ariz., and Jodie and Brad Cahlan of Las Vegas, Nev.; and his 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Harold, Bob, and Bill.
Mr Schwartz enlisted in the US Marine Corps in 1951, and served during the Korean Conflict as part of the intelligence corps. He and his family moved to Tempe in 1979. He was the co-owner and vice president of HACI Mechanical Contractors. He was an avid pilot and loved to fly twin-engine planes and helicopters. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and nature, but he most treasured having his family together.
A celebration of his life is scheduled for 11 am, Saturday, September 13, at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Tempe.
