Hole In One

Frank Gavel made a hole in one at the Rock Ridge Country Club on Labor Day. He hit a 2 hybrid on the fifth hole from 183 yards away.

Men’s League Update

This years Men’s league Champion will be crowned at the end of September. With only a few remaining tournaments in which to earn points, players are fighting to stay on top of the leaderboard. On September 4, Phil Cappelli and Bill Muzzio made big moves, both pushing their way into the top 10. Cappelli scored 7 points, Muzzio was close behind with 6.5 points. Eric Israel, with 4.5 points, has moved into a tie for second place. Bob Wilhelmy picked up 1 point, and still holds on to first place.

Three Day Member Guest

The golf course will be closed September 12-14 for the Annual 3 Day Member/Guest Tournament. This is the premier event at the Rock, as players battle it out in two-man teams throughout the weekend. Each team will play seven different nine hole matches, along with putting and chipping contests. Rock Ridge welcomes its guests and gives a special thanks to this years tournament chairman, Pat McLaughlin.

Couples

Due to popular demand, Couples Night will continue through September on Friday nights. Jeff and Kathy Fetchick won the Couples Tournament on September 5 with a score of 5 under par.
