PJ Story Project Program Planned

MIDDLEBURY — Who do you invite to celebrate the world’s birthday?

On Tuesday, September 17, at 6:30 pm, Cynthia Burger from The PJ Library Project and The Federation, Jewish Communities of Western Connecticut, Inc, in Southbury will be the guest reader at Middlebury Public Library for a special reading of Barbara Diamond Goldin’s The World’s Birthday: A Rosh Hashanah Story. In this story about Rosh Hashanah, a young boy plans a birthday party for the world.

The PJ Library Project, a program funded by the donation from Adriana and Robert Munchin of Washington (Conn.), provides a family one free children’s book or CD per month for a year. This is a great way for families to access the world of Jewish culture and traditions. Information about and the opportunity to register for The PJ Project will be available during the reading.

Ms Burger’s program is free and open to the public. Registration is requested; call Middlebury Library at 203-758-2634.

For further information about the PJ Library Project, call Ms Burger at The Federation, 267-3177 extension 106.
