Representing Our Needs

To the Editor:

We are very fortunate this election season to have the opportunity to elect Chris Lyddy as our state representative. Chris is a caring, kind, warmhearted man who believes in the power of family, education, and community. If you’ve met Chris, as so many of you have, you certainly realize that he is genuine, dedicated, and bright. If you have not yet met Chris, you’ve got that to look forward to. In fact, if you haven’t, you should contact him and ask him to come talk with you; I’m sure he will!

Chris’s job brings him into contact with kids in crisis; this keeps him in touch with the needs of today’s kids. He is a passionate friend of education and youth service organizations. He believes in the inherent good in people.

As our advocate at the state level, Chris will fight to reduce the number of unfunded mandates that drain our school budgets. He will fight to increase our level of funding through the state’s cost-sharing formula. He will represent our needs and work to bring resources to Newtown.

We are lucky to have a person of his caliber willing to serve us. Please join me in voting for Chris Lyddy this November.
