‘Small Things’ At

Garden Of Ideas Gallery

RIDGEFIELD — Sherri Doolittle Mulligan is known in the marketing and promotion world for creating glorious graphic designs for clients like Pepsi, Kraft Foods, Toys ‘R Us, KFC, Mountain Dew and McDonald’s. Local projects include the design for Jeeper’s Creepers pet store, logos for the Ridgefield Library’s 100th anniversary, and the Girl Scout’s Capital Campaign.

Around Ridgefield, she’s known as Max and Laura’s Mom, the “Flower Lady” at St Elizabeth Seton Church, and retired Girl Scout Troop 118 Leader.  In her spare time, she gardens professionally throughout the region.

The current exhibit at Garden of Ideas in Ridgefield, called “Small Things” and featuring works by Ms Mulligan, came about after Joe Keller and Ilsa Svendsen, owners of the Garden of Ideas, saw some quick sketches done by Ms Mulligan on the back of an envelope and inquired about her artistic endeavors.

“She’s incredibly talented,” says Mr Keller. “We’re thrilled to present yet another fine local artist in our gallery.”

The collection, Ms Mulligan’s first gallery show, will be on view until September 28.

The garden and gallery are at 647 North Salem Road. Gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. For additional information call 203-431-9914 or visit GardenOfIdeas.com or the artist’s website, IDoolittleDesigns.com.
