A Program For Budding Environmentalists

WOODBURY — “Kid’s Adventure Club,” Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust’s monthly program for children ages 3 to 10 will begin its new season for budding environmentalists on Saturday, September 23, from 10 am until 12:30 pm.

The program is designed to allow children to get to know and appreciate the abundance of life found on this blue planet.  “Seasonal Changes” will be the topic this month and will be an exciting nature exploration for youngsters as they discover the beauty and diversity of a changing season. There will be a hike along the trails to explore and inspect, stories to hear, and a nature-themed art project.

Children are asked to bring along a snack and dress for lots of outdoor activities.

Cost is $15 for members, and $20 for non-members.  As space is limited to ten students, registration and pre-payment by mail or in person required. Send payment to Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust,  PO Box 702, Woodbury CT 06798; or call 203-263-3711 extension 10.

Flanders’ office is located at the corner of Flanders and Church Hill Roads in Woodbury.
