John Grimaldi of Newtown, second from right (and pictured with, from left, Bruno Pardee of Newington; Fernando Castro-Conroy of Ramsey, New Jersey; and Gene Martin of New Britain) participated in the 19th annual Bobâs Discount Furniture Charity Golf Outing at the Tunxis Plantation Country Club in Farmington. Grimaldi was among 235 golfers who helped raise nearly $500,000 for the Bobâs Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation which help support childrenâs charities ⦠including the Jimmy Fund. The tournament was one of 150 around the country that make up Jimmy Fund Golf, the oldest and largest grassroots golf program for charity in the nation. Now in its 24th year, Jimmy Fund Gold has raised $47.5 million for cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
