$2 Million For Substance Abuse Prevention
HARTFORD (AP) â Federal officials say more than $2 million is coming to Connecticut programs that focus on preventing substance abuse among children and teens.
The 18 programs were recently picked for grants from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. The programs are prevention councils, task forces, community health groups, and municipal substance abuse and alcohol abuse prevention services across Connecticut.
Thirteen programs are receiving $125,000 each; the other grants range from about $46,000 to $100,000.
