Charles W. Koch, 53, of Newtown, beloved husband of Pira (Jennewein) Koch, died unexpectedly September 13. He was born in Bronxville, N.Y., June 21, 1957, a son of Evelyn (Vorbach) and Robert Koch.
Mr Koch was raised in New Rochelle, N.Y., and was a graduate of New Rochelle High School. Before retirement, he was an ironworker for Union Local 40 in New York City and was very proud of his participation in the recovery effort at Ground Zero following 9/11/2001.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children Ryan, Hannah, and Christopher; five brothers, Robert, Steven, Michael, John, and Paul Koch; and three sisters, Lynne Ketcham, Cora Koch, and Nancy Leccese.
A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled in St Maryâs Church, 26 Dodgingtown Road, Bethel, Friday, September 17, at 11 am. Interment will be private.
Calling hours were scheduled at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Thursday, September 16, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.
