Free Lecture On New Treatments, Testing For Lyme

WOODBURY — Join New Morning Natural and Organic of Woodbury and Newtowner Dr Shawn M. Carney, a local naturopathic physician, as they present “Managing Lyme Disease,” a free one-hour informative public lecture on chronic Lyme disease September 18.

According to Dr Carney, there has been a dramatic increase in reported Lyme disease cases throughout Connecticut and across the entire country over the last several years. It is also perhaps the single most controversial infectious disease, with many health care practitioners not well informed about current peer-review research findings and skeptical about even the existence of chronic Lyme disease.

Dr Carney will discuss scientific findings about Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses, as well as new innovative diagnostic testing available. He will also review the role of integrative medicine as using effective antimicrobials, addressing other underlying conditions that make symptoms worse, removing barriers to wellness and new herbal and homeopathic remedies specific to Lyme and other tick-borne infections.

The lecture begins promptly at 2 pm in New Morning Natural and Organic at 738 Main Street South, Middle Quarter Mall. Space is limited; to register contact Julie at 203-263-4868.

For additional information, contact Northeast Natural Medicine, LLC at 33 Main Street, Suite 15, Newtown at -800-723-2962 or on the web at www.northeastnatmed.com.
