 Mustangs 4, Blue Crushers 0:
For the Mustangs, Karsen Pirone had the hat trick and Kaitlyn King added a goal at the end on a direct kick. Holly Ankers and Mopsey Seaver controlled the defense. Angela Carriero and Olivia Oltran had assists. For the Blue Crushers, Madeline Patrick was strong on defense, while Morgan Melillo had many saves in goal. Great all around effort by Gloria Rowley and Madison Hintze.
Rockets 4, Lightning 3: For the Rockets, Hannah Daly scored three goals, and Jane Shearin added one. For the Lightning, Carlie Smith contributed two goals, and Elizabeth Teixeira scored one in the offensive battle. Cameron Powers played excellent overall defense for the Lightning.
 Wildcats 2, Blue Breeze 0: The Wildcat offense was led by Colleen Phaneuf, who netted both goals, and Kaley Meisenheimer with an assist. Rylee Harrell and Hannah Groonell played a great overall game, demonstrating strong ball control and passing skills. Defensively, the Wildcats were led by Shauna Tucker and Kaia Gioffre. For the Blue Breeze, Emma Magazu and Olivia Buchler led the offensive charge. Natalene Sim and Morgan Seras had strong defensive games. Charlotte Branchflower was stellar in goal.
Net Rippers 2, The Lightning Strikes 2: The evenly matched teams fought their way to a 2-2 tie. Faith OâHara found the back of the net twice for the Net Rippers. She was supported by speedy Gabby Mogollon and Sophia Child. while Julia Kanaan excelled in goal. Megan Ricciardi and Mary Sortino each scored one for The Lightning Strikes. Riley Burns played steady defense and Hailey Wilson was strong in goal.

Dynamites 2, Darien White 0: The Dynamites started the season with a bang as they dominated the field Sunday afternoon in their game against Darien White. A goal by Jenna Lavelle in the first half gave the Dynamites the early lead. Strong play by the entire Newtown squad kept the ball on the Darien side with numerous shots on goal. Olivia Hage scored late in the second half with an assist from Jenna Lavelle to seal the win. The team is also made up of Brooke Antous, Audrey Benson, Lauren Carrino, Grace Corcoran, Rebecca Gavel, Hayley Harkins, Alison Kelleher, Keeley Kortze, and Katie Sailer.
 Twisters 1, Dynamite 1: Jackie Matthews scored the Twistersâ goal, with Janyce Toth and Colby Troy superior in goal and Liz Weisgerber strong on defense. The Dynamiteâs goal was scored by Merije De Wit. Sarah Tressler and Jenna Gonski played well upfront, while Sarah Brittin and Briana Castellano were dynamite on defense.
 Golden Eagles 5, Eagles 1: For the Eagles, game captains Caroline Viselli kicked and Hana Rosenthal assisted for one goal. A strong defensive effort was supplied by Beth Mottola, Cathy Hyeon, and Grace Sholtes. On the Golden Eagle side, Emma Curtis showed her wings with five goals, four of them assisted by nest-mate Simone Paradis. Holly LoCascio kept her nest safe as goalie, while Samantha Bicho was a critical defensive player.
 Twisters 2, Team One 0: Madison Findley and Isabella Manfredi each scored for the Twisters. Julie Raigosa was fearless in goal and Malia Gioffre was fierce in defense. For Team One, Alyssa Ross was aggressive on offense, while Julia Clark and Jenna Ehnot were tireless on defense.

Newtown Panthers 6, Westport 1: The Panthers headed to Westport on a cloudy Sunday afternoon and brought their power game! The Panthers offense were relentless and the defense very strong against a tough Westport team. The scoring started early with Alexis Mason, on a pass from Anna Moscovici, scoring goal number 1â¦goal number 2 came just minutes later, also on a strong shot by Alexis. The Panthers defense was also strong, anchored by Audrey Sedensky and Maria Ringes. Kira Kelly, in goal, kept the Westport offense at bay, allowing only one goal late in the game. Alexis Mason got her hat trick in the first half and had two additional goals in the second half. Strong play by Greta Staubly, Diana Kirkman, Mary Hufziger, and Catherine Shaw ensured that the Westport kept off balance. The Panthersâ final goal was made off a great shot by Isabella Jimenez.

 Newtown Lightning 1, Westport 5: The Newtown Lightning played a tough Westport team in the season opener. Offensive bright spots were the goal by Cassidy Keller, which was assisted by Mia Katsuleres and the determined play of Alexandra Manoni. Anchoring the defensive action, Amanda Albanesi showed some gritty play against the Westport offense.

Chaos 2, Smiters 0: The Chaos broke a scoreless, half-time tie on a fast, unassisted goal from Jesse Sailer, and Alexandra Dittrich provided an insurance tally midway through the half to cement the win over the Smiters in the season opener. Kayla DiSibio and Keira Veillette had strong overall performances, while Danielle Agugliaro was tough on defense. For the Smiters, Molly Begg and Haley Taylor were great on defense. Emma Burns, Carly Grossano, and Katerina Ringes had strong overall games, and Sarah MacMullan was stalwart in goal.
 Twisters 1, SWAT 0: For the Twisters, one goal scored by Jenna Hansen with an assist by Stephanie Devaney. There was persistent midfield play by Laura Malin, strong defense by Anita Luxkaranayagam, and solid goaltending by Sinead Flanagan. For SWAT, Megan Goyda played tough as sweeper, Simran Chand played well in goal, Alexandra Lotko had a good game as forward, and Jillian Pieretti played with purpose and gave it her all.
 Opalupas 1, Rockets 0: The goal for the Opalupas was scored by Brianna Baranowski. Andrea Rodrigues was outstanding as goalie. Rachel Jacuzzi and Tessa Leon-Gambetta played strong defense and Sara Lampel and Abby Winters did a great job of moving the ball on offense. For the Rockets, Megan Milano and Emily Turco were strong on defense, Cate Haggerty and Emily Jerris submitted solid performances on the offense, and Makenzie Casey did an outstanding job as goalie.

Nighthawks 5, Team Ten 1: The Nighthawks played a solid offensive and defensive game. The Hawks were led by Duncan OâLeary and Tanner Trede with two goals each. Torin Kearney also scored. Jake Mailloux, Jake Anthony, and Jack Petersen played well throughout the game and anchored the defense. For Team Ten Johnathan Taylor scored their lone goal and played well on defense. Also leading the way on defense was Daniel Debartolomeo. Marlon Medina was a force on both sides of the ball, including goalie, and offensively, William Tainter-Gilbert and Connor Faxon led the way.
Team Nine 6, Champions 0: Johnathan Radatovich, Neil Kalra, and Devin OâConnell scored. Solidifying the defense in the win were Collin Hoffman and Colden Bobowick. The Champions showed heart throughout the game with great defensive plays by Elijah Baraw, Miller Tetreault, and Matthew Weisgerber and some excellent offensive plays were made by Brendan OâNeill, Milan Chand, and Zachary Masone.
Vipers 5, Golden Eagles 0: In last Sundayâs game, William Swierbut anchored midfield, setting up four first half goals by Thomas Armstrong. Ethan Correia cemented the win with the fifth goal to close out the first half. Brandon Lutz, and Ryan Ruddy provided leadership for the stout defense, limiting the number of shots in the shutout. The Golden Eagles played hard for the entire game and produced some good shots on goal and strong defense. Jonathan Liberante and Michael Elston led the way with their positive attitude and hard play.

Team Two 3, Team Five 1: For Team Two, Jacob Riley played a good overall game, providing strong defense, and also scoring two goals for the team while in offense. Kyle Gaynor was also strong on attack and scored the teamâs third goal. Justin Bogdanoff and Tyler Gaynor came through with solid midfield support. For Team Five, first half was scoreless due to excellent goal keeping by Mark Leonardi and strong defensive play by Ryan Horn and Nicholas Cappelli. In the second half, Jack Miller had a spectacular goal weaving through Team Two strong defense.

Fairfield 3 Net Rippers 0: The Net Rippers fell in a disappointing season opener against an experienced and tough Fairfield squad. Goalie Silas Decker stopped 12 shots on goal, while the defense struggled to hold back an aggressive Fairfield assault. Defensemen Ryan Brello, Mark Hall, and Hunter Procaccini limited the attacks, and Josh Harper and Grant Larson played tough, physical games. Brendan OâHara, Nick Harper, and Matt Gerbo had several shots on goal that failed to reach the back of the net, while Middie Evan Egglestonâs penalty shot pinged off the top crossbar. Aiden Ford and James Barden were aggressive on the pitch, and limited Fairfieldâs passing with several key plays.

A-Team 5, Titans 3: In a well played game, the A-Team defeated the Titans 5-3. Michael Biancardi and Tim Vander Have scored two goals each, and a penalty kick score was added from Sawyer Conrad. The A-Teamâs defense was anchored by goalie Patrick Olah and strong defensive play by Dillon Palumbo and Charlie Soto. Casper De Wit and Kieran Lynch controlled the midfield. The Titans were led by two goals from Christopher Anesi, strong defense from James Barry, and solid goaltending from Akash Ahuja.
The D Four 3, Solano 2: The D Four broke a 2-2 tie in the second half and held on against a furious Solano rally to win 3-2 in both teams U14 home opener. Dan Hamula scored the game winner on a great feed from Spencer Tolson (two goals, one assist) to escape with the win. Solano was led by Connor Miller, who scored the teamâs two goals, and Matt Hess offensively. Miller was dangerous each touch and had the support in goal of Conor Murphy and Ryan Szalay who played well in their goalkeeping debuts. Daniel Collucci and Zachary Weiland starred defensively for The D Four, who kept Solano off the score sheet in the second half.
