Healthy Newtown

To the Editor

Keeping Newtown Healthy has been the goal of the Newtown Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) for over 90 years and the sole purpose of the Great American Health Fair for 17 years. This year we are pleased and proud to have John Trentacosta, president of Newtown Savings Bank, join us as a sponsor for our huge “Keeping Newtown Healthy” efforts.

Over the years, “Keeping Newtown Healthy” has meant many things, from providing milk for school children to providing free dental care when needed, to free well baby clinics, eye screening, skin cancer screening and on to massive efforts to provide townwide flu vaccine available to all residents regardless of their ability to pay. The VNA motto has always been “No one is ever denied essential nursing services because of inability to pay.”

Thank you John Trentacosta for your generous support of the VNA and for those who work to provide for the public health needs of Newtown and for being our prime sponsor this year for Newtown’s 17th Annual Great American Health Fair. Your support is gratefully appreciated by those who work to Keep Newtown Healthy and by the many people we are able to help.
