Letters Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

It isn’t too often these days that we hear something positive on the news, in the newspapers or over the airwaves — we can all agree with that. Our society has become such that we turn on the television and just hear about all of the negative aspects of our society. It’s getting kind of old.

Chris Lyddy is a representative who I can honestly say brings some positive to our community. For those of you who don’t agree or who attempt to bring that positivity down — it is time to look in the mirror. Take the time to appreciate what he has done.

Chris Lyddy is my brother. I rarely see him because of the commitment he has to this town. He made a decision to represent Newtown and has done it with honesty and integrity. He loves his job, which only adds to the reason that he is so darn good at it. He has a passion to represent us. He is working for us everyday in Hartford.

So whether you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent or even an unaffiliated — it really doesn’t matter. My brother is working for the town of Newtown, the people. Throw the labels away — appreciate what he has done — and trust that he is the right person for this position.

The respect he has garnered from both the Republicans and Democrats in Hartford should help portray the job he has done in just two years. Imagine what will happen in the next two.
