To the Editor:

The petition effort to request Newtown Savings Bank to modify the current design for their Sandy Hook Center branch netted 665 signatures, in about 16 days, and resulted in a cordial meeting with NSB President John Trentacosta on Tuesday, September 14.

The outcome is not yet known; time will tell. Just being listened to was positive. By the way, the overall site plan is wonderful, most worthy of this prominent location and the bank’s intent.
