To The Editor:

I am proud to support Betsy Paynter for Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate. I’ve known Betsy as both a friend and a fellow volunteer for the past six years on the Board of Edmond Town Hall, where she has served as Vice Chair. During that time, I’ve seen her passion for our community and her ability to bring people together to make a real difference.

Betsy is always willing to roll up her sleeves and get involved. At Edmond Town Hall, she has been deeply committed to keeping the organization strong — supporting grants, helping shape the business plan, and always looking for ways to make things better. She’s also played an important role in efforts like the Cultural District, which highlights how much she values the arts and culture that make our town unique. Betsy consistently demonstrates creativity, perseverance, and a collaborative spirit.

What I admire most about Betsy is that her dedication goes far beyond board meetings. She gives her time generously — whether it’s at local arts and music festivals, or simply showing up to support community events. Her understanding of zoning, land use, and development further enriches her ability to make thoughtful, strategic contributions that benefit the town as a whole.

I fully support Betsy for this position and am confident that she will bring energy, expertise, and heart to the role.

Jennifer Guman

Chair, Edmond Town Hall Board of Managers
