Jungran (Yang) DeCosa

Jungran (Yang) DeCosa of Copper Creek Circle, Newtown, died unexpectedly at Danbury Hospital on September 13, at the age of 48. She was born in Naju, Korea, daughter of the late Bong Yang and Gap (Shin) Yang. She was educated in Korea and made her home in the United States for more than 20 years.

Mrs DeCosa was a veteran of the US Army, serving during peacetime in Germany. She was a dental assistant for Drs Phillips and Lambert in Brookfield. She was a member of Connecticut Sarang Presbyterian Church in Newtown.

Besides her mother, she will be sadly missed by her daughter, Roxanne DeCosa of LaCrescenta, Calif.; two brothers, Jack Yang of Glendale, Calif., and Paul Yang of LaCrescenta, Calif.; three sisters, Jennie Kim of LaCrescenta, Calif., Chongae Whitehead of Edmonds, Wash., and Becky Hahn of Burbank, Calif.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at the Brookfield Funeral Home, 786 Federal Road, Brookfield, on September 17 with Pastor David M. Kim of the Connecticut Sarang Presbyterian Church officiating.

Cremation followed at Charter Oak Crematory, Oxford.

Memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Mrs DeCosa to the Connecticut Sarang Presbyterian Church, 35 Sugar St, Newtown, CT 06470
