Family Days At Annâs Place:
Gather With Others
Facing Cancer In The Family
DANBURY â Annâs Place, The Home of I Can will present Family Day programs on Saturday, September 27, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm; Tuesday, November 4, from 5 to 8 pm; and Saturday, December 13, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Families are invited to enjoy a fun, family-focused program together with other families living with cancer, on one, two, or all three of the Family Days planned. Registration is requested.
Children like to know that others are going through a similar experience. With this in mind there will be family art projects, family yoga, and a separate time for adults and children. Pizza will be served. Admission is free.
Annâs Place has been providing cancer support services to people living with cancer, as well as their loved ones, since 1991. Currently, the agency is serving nearly 600 clients per month, with people coming from western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Core services include individual and family counseling, more than 20 support groups for people with various cancer diagnoses and at various stages of treatment, and a variety of wellness programs including yoga, reiki, writing workshops, art therapy, and guided imagery.
