Gate Crasher

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, a 39-year-old man turned himself over to them at the police station midday on September 16, and was charged with evading responsibility in connection with his allegedly having driven a 1992 Buick LeSabre sedan into a closed swing gate at the Trades Lane main entrance to Fairfield Hills in July and then leaving the scene.

Police said they charged Ronald Heston, Jr, of Shelton with the offense. Police said that they learned of the collision at about 10 pm July 26. The heavily damaged gate was still in place at Fairfield Hills on the morning of September 18.

After arrest processing, police released Heston on $200 bail for a September 30 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
