Newtown Arts Festival Returning This Month With Three Days Of Music, Dance, Visual Arts & More
The 13th Newtown Arts Festival will step off with a Concert Under the Stars featuring The Zoo on Friday, September 26, on the grounds of Fairfield Hills.
The show will begin at 7 pm with an opening set by Blood’s A Rover. Gates will open at 6.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at newtownartsfestival.com with open seating.
In case of inclement weather, the venue will move to Edmond Town Hall at 45 Main Street. Check newtownartsfestival.com if weather is questionable.
The Wine and Beer Garden will be open during the concert, and attendees will be able to take their wine or beer and sit at the concert. Food trucks will also be on site.
Those planning to attend should note outside food or beverages will not be allowed.
The next two days — Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28 — will continue the presentation of Newtown Arts Festival with music all day, dance presentations, art and fiber demonstrations, craft activities, and the popular Terrific Totes.
Festival hours are 11 am-5 pm. Eighty artisans will also be featured.
The highlight of the festival will be a puppet show presented by Ben’s Lighthouse, at 2 pm each afternoon, at the dance tent.
Tickets for the two-day festival are $5, with those under age 5 admitted free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at newtownartsfestival.com or at the gate.
