Colonial Craft Show & Church Fair

REDDING — The Redding Congregational Church (First Church of Christ) will present its 25th annual Colonial Craft Show & Church Fair on Sunday, September 30. The event will run from 10 am until 4 pm at the church,  25 Cross Highway.

The 25th year makes this fair – which church members like to call one of the best-kept secrets in the state – very special indeed with some wonderful changes. This year the fair will have over 40 highly skilled artisans, with live demonstrations in weaving, pottery, blacksmithing, yarn spinning and silversmithing.

Church women will spend countless hours baking hundreds of homemade apple pies, which can be purchased during the fair by the pie or by the slice, with optional cheddar cheese.

Homemade soup will be cooking all day in the colonial cauldron.

One lucky winner will win a beautiful hand pieced quilt made by the church ladies which will be raffled off at the end of the show. The grand raffle also offers other valuable prizes.

Children can participate in Colonial-era games while they sip on lemons stuck with peppermint sticks and view the church members in traditional colonial costumes.

Admission is free.
