Fundraiser

To the Editor:

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families, friends, and contestants who generously voted for their Beautiful Baby, to raise funds for the severely wounded military personnel benefited by the Homes For Our Troops organization.

The generosity of Newtown businesses made it possible for me to give Family Prize Baskets to the top four contestants, including a haircut and manicure for all four mothers. Thank you so much to all those who contributed prizes: Adam Broderick Salon, Beardsley Zoo, Big Y Supermarkets, Caraluzzi’s Markets, Chao Chi Restaurant, Edmond Town Hall, Eureka Nails & Spa, Happy Baby Products, Ice Cream Shop, Kohl’s Department Store, Military Museum of Southern New England, New Britain Museum of American Art, The Newtown Bee, Newtown Nail Salon, Newtown Savings Bank, Nina Nail Spa, Ricci’s Salon and Spa, Robert Anthony’s Hair Studio, Sale e Pepe Restaurant, Salon Michelle, Simply Baby, and to Lexington Gardens, who packaged all four Baby Baskets for me.

I’d like to extend a special thanks to Mercedes of Danbury for providing the convertible limo for the Labor Day Parade, and to Stop & Shop Supermarket, Sand Hill Plaza, not only for their generous gift certificate, but for hosting the Baby Contest Voting Booth at their store.
