Letters Of Endorsement

To the Editor:

A small corner in the northeast section of Sandy Hook votes for its state representative with the residents of Monroe. Michele Mount, a Monroe attorney, a Democratic member of Monroe’s Legislative Council, and a wife and mother of two, is running to represent those Newtown voters.

In her words, this is what’s important to Mrs Mount:

“I’m running because Connecticut is too expensive to live and run businesses in. We need to create jobs, increase employment, and promote economic growth, especially with industries that look for alternative fuels sources.

“I know the toll that our economy has taken on Connecticut, the loss of jobs, the unfair system of property taxes, and rising fuel costs. I will be a strong advocate for increasing state aid to municipalities, and finding long-term solutions for mass transit, and job creation.

“Working together is the only way to a brighter future for Connecticut.”

If you’d like to discuss the issues that are important to you with Mrs Mount, please contact her through her website, michelemount.com.

In Mrs Mount’s words: “I believe that a person who listens to all citizens and works tenaciously for their future can make a difference.”

I’m convinced that, if elected, Michele Mount will do exactly what she has promised — work hard and represent the small corner of Newtown well.
