Marjorie Gloria Thrall

For Many Years

Marjorie Gloria (Bell) Thrall, 86, died peacefully at her home in Sandy Hook, September 15. “Gloria,” as she was known to all, was born in Haverstraw, N.Y., February 23, 1924, and grew up in White Plains, N.Y. She was the daughter of Marion (Weir) and William Bell.

She was married for 55 years to Arthur Jack Thrall of Sandy Hook, who predeceased her in 2001. They raised three children, and she retired from Fairfield Hills Hospital in 1989, where she worked in accounts payable for 23 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Thrall of Sandy Hook and Diana “Dee” Thrall and her partner, Rose Fogelman, of Newtown; and a sister, Diane Smith of White Plains, N.Y. A son, Jack, died in 1978.

Funeral services were September 21, in the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown. Interment followed in Zoar Cemetery.
