Newtown Republican HQ

Opening Sunday

Local Republicans are inviting the entire community to come and meet November’s candidates, while celebrating the opening of the GOP’s relocated headquarters.

The festivities, and candidates, will be in Sandy Hook Center, Sunday, September 26, from 10 am to 1 pm.

Located at 17 Church Hill Road behind the Subway restaurant, the new GOP headquarters looks out on the Pootatuck River, providing what organizers say is “an intimate setting [offering] opportunities to meet and learn about GOP candidates on the ballot in November’s general election.”

The 106th District legislative candidate George Ferguson, DebraLee Hovey, the incumbent in Newtown’s part of the 112th District; John McKinney, incumbent State Senate Minority Leader; and incumbent Judge Joe Egan, who is running for the new, regional judge of probate seat will join invited guests, including gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley, Danbury Mayor and lieutenant governor contender Mark Boughton, US Senate candidate Linda McMahon and Fifth District Congressional candidate Sam Caligiari.

Free refreshments will be available for all who attend.
