Newtown High School’s boys soccer team continued its season-starting rampage with two more shutout victories — 3-0 at Kolbe Cathedral of Bridgeport on September 18 and 4-0 over visiting New Fairfield on September 20 — improving to 7-0 heading into Thursday’s visit to New Milford at 6 pm. The Nighthawks have outscored opponents 23-1, earning a half-dozen shutouts in their first seven matchups.

In the win at Kolbe, Kaio Dos Santos had a goal and an assist, Steve Singlak and Manny Adomako both scored, and Ryan Payne assisted two tallies. Against New Fairfield, Adomako scored twice and Payne and Landon Dorsey both hit the back of the net; Dos Santos assisted two goals and Payne and Jonah Kaiser also set up net-finders.

The Nighthawks visit Joel Barlow of Redding Tuesday, September 30 at 5 pm and return home Friday, October 3, to entertain Immaculate of Danbury at 6 pm.
