*Country singer JAMES OTTO will be the next entertainer to hold an exclusive appearance and CD signing as part of the âSignings & Sightingsâ event series at Mohegan Sun. Otto will follow the show he opens for BROOKS & DUNN at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, October 4, with his âSignings & Sightingsâ event at Spin Street in The Shops at Mohegan Sun concourse.
Tickets for the concert, which will also feature special guest Chris Cagle, are still available, priced from $55 to $90.
*New this week from Mohegan Sun are announcements that NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK and YES will be coming to Uncasville, and tickets for each of those shows will be on sale this weekend.
New Kids on the Block, with special guests NATASHA BEDINGFIELD and LADY GAGA, have added new dates to their successful 2008 comeback tour and will return to the Northeast on Saturday, November 8. Tickets for that show will be available as of 10 am Friday, priced at $78 and $98 apiece.
On Saturday morning, tickets for a return by YES will be on sale as well. These tickets are $30 and $40, for a show on Sunday, November 9.
For any of these shows visit TicketMaster vendors or the Mohegan Sun box office. A reminder that the box office at the casino doesnât sell tickets in person for the first 24 hours of each showâs onsale.
*Also this weekend, ROXY PERRY will celebrate the release of her latest recording, called In My Sweet Time.
Georgetown Saloon in Redding will welcome the New York blues queen for a 9:15 show on Friday night. Tickets are reportedly selling fast for this event; call 203-544-8003 for details.
Saturday at the saloon will be a return by JAY STOLLMAN & THE BLACK ROCK ALL-STARS, who perform covers of favorites from the 1960s through today.
*Mocha will close out September with the return of PORTER on Friday and a first-time appearance by JESSE LYNCH on Saturday.
Porter is a lovely young songstress who âcreates songs that are uniquely beautiful,â says her press release. The singer-songwriter, who âblends carefully crafted poetry with organic melodiesâ will have the stage area at 3 Glen Road on Friday, September 26.
On Saturday itâll be former New Milford Jesse Lunch at Mocha. The guitarist and vocalist will offer a set of indie rock-grunge.
Shows begin at 8 and run until 10 or so.
