Keeping Up Our High Standards
Keeping Up Our High Standards
To the Editor:
As I cannot make the meeting on September 24, I am taking this opportunity to [write to the Board of Selectmen] expressing my support for the $6 million appropriation for the high school expansion project. Please do approve and set the date for the referendum as quickly as possible. The high school is already severely overcrowded and the town has waited more than long enough to move this project forward.
I know, for myself, and many of my neighbors, friends, and acquaintances, that the major reason my wife and I moved here over ten years ago was because of the quality of the school district. Since that time the town has consistently allowed new home development but has not taken the appropriate necessary steps for the school district and associated resources to keep up with the growing population. Itâs time to correct that lack and take action to keep our school system up to the high standards that its residents have expected.
Thank you. Robert Rabinowitz
