‘Rails To Trails’ Slide Program

MONROE — Local historian and author Sue A. DelBianco will conduct a free slide presentation called “Rails to Trails” on Saturday, September 27, at 1 pm, at The Edith Wheeler Memorial Library.

This presentation will show, through images, the then-and-now of the railroad line that ran through Monroe.

Ms DelBianco is the author of The Last Phantom Train and its sequel, Phantom Train II: Crossing Over, novels set in New England where a ghost train appears on a train bridge and has the ability to travel in time.

Edith Wheeler Memorial Library is at 733 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111) in Monroe; the program will be in the Ehlers Meeting Room. Call 452-2850 for additional information.
