Apple Harvest Festival In Monroe

MONROE — The annual Apple Harvest Festival of the United Methodist Church of Monroe at 515 Cutler’s Farm Road will be held on Saturday, October 13, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Festival favorites will once again include UMC-famous apple pies and apple fritters, Vermont cheddar cheese, delicious pulled pork or hot dog lunch selections, homemade and holiday crafts and gifts, tag sale treasures (kids’ toys, books and videos), and fun-filled kids’ games and activities.

New features of the UMC Harvest Festival this year include the sounds of bluegrass music, performed by the Connecticut-based band Hoe (at 11 am and 1 pm), and additional vendors to complement the church’s own handmade quilted and craft items.

Freshly baked or frozen apple pies may be ordered by calling the church office at 268-8395. All pies will be available for pickup in advance on Friday, October 12, or at the festival.
