Male Charged With Eight Felony Sex Offenses
Male Charged With Eight Felony Sex Offenses
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, an unidentified male went to the police station on the afternoon of September 22 and was arrested by police on four counts of first-degree sexual assault and four counts of risk of injury or impairing the morals of a child.
Police provided few details about the circumstances which led to the maleâs arrest, other than to state that the charges stem from a 2006 incident.
Because the person arrested for the eight felony offenses was under age 18 when the crimes allegedly occurred, the personâs identity is shielded from disclosure by state law.
Police records indicate that police received a report from the state Department of Children & Families on May 20, which resulted in their investigation that led to the unidentified maleâs September 22 arrest.
After arrest processing, the male was released on a written promise to appear on October 4 in Danbury Juvenile Court. Such court proceedings are held in closed session.
Although the male arrested on the eight charges may no longer be a âjuvenileâ as defined by state law, he would be charged as a juvenile in the case if he was in that age range when the alleged criminal offenses occurred.
