Talk Offered At St Vâs
BRIDGEPORT â St Vincentâs Medical Center is sponsoring a free talk open to the general public titled âA Heads-Up About Migrainesâ as a part of its 2010 Fall Listen & Learn Lecture Series. The talk will take place Tuesday, October 5, from 6 to 7 pm, in the Hawley Conference Center at St Vincentâs Medical Center.
Featured speaker Peter McAllister, MD, will discuss the different types of migraines, their causes and the latest treatment options available.
Peter McAllister, MD, is board certified and specializes in neurology. He received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Connecticut and his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
He completed an externship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square, London, England. Dr McAllister completed his internship in medicine and his residency in neurology at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
Dr McAllister is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association for Study of Headaches, Connecticut State Medical Society, the Fairfield County Medical Association, and the Fairfield County Neurology Society, among others. He practices medicine with Associated Neurologists of Southern Connecticut, PC in Fairfield.
