Two Chambers Invite The Public To Golf Tourney

The Newtown and Monroe Chambers of Commerce will host their 3rd Annual Golf Outing sponsored by Union Savings Bank on Wednesday, October 6, at Whitney Farms Golf Course, 175 Shelton Road in Monroe.

Building on the great success of last year’s event, the business support from chamber members has been outstanding. Union Savings Bank is the title sponsor for the third consecutive year. Additional support has been provided by Newtown Savings Bank, People’s United Bank, Berkshire Motors, Sal e Pepe Restaurant, Sippin Energy, Cargill Photography, and Edgerton Heating and Air Conditioning.

The day is packed with a series of fun activities to take place on the property of Whitney Farms. Golfers can participate in foursomes or as individuals in the 18-hole tournament, and will benefit from free use of the driving range. Beverages and lunch will be provided on a golf cart during the day.

Nongolfers can attend the Business After Hours, which begins with cocktails at 4:30 pm, dinner at 5:30, and includes a live auction. Awards and prizes will be distributed for first, second, closest to the line, closest to the pin, and longest drive for both men and women.

Registration is open to the public. Entry fees are $145 per person and include lunch, greens fees, and the Business After Hours.

Nongolfers are welcome to attend the Business After Hours for $50.

Reservations and prepayment are required for golf and lunch.

Schedule of events is as follows:

10 am: Registration/Complimentary Driving Range Use

11:30 am: Lunch Provided on Golf Cart — compliments of Sal e Pepe Restaurant and Shotgun Start of Tournament

4:30 pm: Business After Hours/Dinner & Live Auction
