Will Drew: Committed to Newtown’s Future on P&Z
To The Editor:
My name is Will Drew, and I am asking for your support as I campaign for the Alternate position on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
My wife, Stacey, our 5-year-old son, and I have called Newtown home since 2021, and we are deeply committed to its future. You might recognize me running through town while training for ultramarathons. This dedication to endurance and resilience is the same mindset I bring to public service, tackling obstacles with determination and seeing tasks through to a successful finish.
Professionally, I bring a unique blend of expertise and leadership. I hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and own Hudson Valley Clinical Services, a healthcare company providing vital rehabilitative services to adults with neurological deficits. Running this business has given me a strategic understanding of economic development, entrepreneurship, and sustainable growth — all of which are crucial for the Planning and Zoning Commission.
While this is my first elected campaign, I am not new to serving Newtown. Since 2022, I’ve served on the Conservation Commission, gaining insights into land use, open space management, and strategic planning for our town’s natural assets.
As the parent of a young child, I am focused on the long-term success of Newtown. The decisions we make today will directly impact my son’s future here. I will bring new energy and perspective, ensure lasting growth that benefits all segments of our community.
My ability to respectfully hear diverse perspectives and skillfully work toward widely supported solutions makes me a great fit for the role. My commitment to preserving Newtown’s unique character while strategically building upon all we have to offer fuels my passion.
I would be honored to earn your trust and support in electing me as an Alternate for the Planning and Zoning Commission.
