Anne M. Scanlon

Anne M. Scanlon, 71, of 18 Queen Street, Newtown, died October 5 at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Scanlon.

Mrs Scanlon was born January 14, 1930, in New Haven, daughter of the late Hannah (Dugan) Savage. She was a registered nurse and retired in 1971 from Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown. She was a longtime Newtown resident.

She leaves one son, Robert D. Scanlon, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Thomaston; and two grandsons, Robert M. Scanlon and Ryan P. Scanlon, also of Thomaston.

A funeral mass was held October 9 at St Rose Church, Church Hill Road, Newtown. Burial was in Newtown Village Cemetery.

The Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South, Southbury, was in charge of arrangements.
