William C. Tucker
William C. Tucker, 45, of 37 Darrin Drive, Shelton, died on October 5 at St Vincentâs Medical Center, Bridgeport, after a long illness. He was the devoted husband of Judith (Bednar) Tucker and the brother of Nancy Schulz of Newtown.
Bill was born in Bridgeport, October 3, 1956, son of Frances (Leighton) Tucker of Fairfield, and the late Irwin Tucker, and had been a Shelton resident for more than ten years, previously living in Fairfield. Bill participated in many theater productions at Rodger Ludlow High School, from which he graduated in 1975. He was a member of the Booth Hill School PTA and Fatherâs Club. He was an assistant Cub Scoutmaster and was an assistant soccer coach in the Shelton Youth Soccer League.
He was the beloved father of Stephen Robacznski, Matthew Tucker and Cassandra Tucker, all of Shelton; brother of John Tucker of Bridgeport, Betsy Tucker of Fairfield, and Jane Tucker of Santa Monica, Calif. He was the son-in-law of Joseph and Edna Bednar of Shelton; brother-in-law of Richard and Linda Bednar; and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral was held on October 9 in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, with the Rev David W. Spollett, pastor of the First Church Congressional of Fairfield, officiating. Burial was in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton.
