Coastal Scenes And Intimate Landscapes At 550 Gallery

BETHLEHEM — The autumn show at 550 Gallery will feature work by the Connecticut artist Robert Noreika. The show is on view until November 16.

Mr Noreika is a prominent watercolorist and illustrator whose paintings hang in corporate and private collections throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.

Among his favorite subjects are expressive coastal scenes and intimate woodland landscapes which capture the ever-changing beauty of the four seasons. His love of nature is further reflected in his children’s book illustrations. His most recent work in that field includes Marsh Music and A Moon for Seasons.

His water media techniques were highlighted in the April 1998 issue of Artist’s Magazine. He is a member of Connecticut Watercolor Society and Salmagundi Club in New York City. He is represented in numerous galleries in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Vermont. He teaches and lectures throughout New England.

550 Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am to 5 pm; and Saturday, noon to 5 pm. The gallery is located in the BCM Building at 550 Main Street South (Route 61) in Bethlehem. Call 203-266-6995 for information for directions.
