An Active Voice For A Better Future
An Active Voice
For A Better Future
To the Editor:
Silent... I have been called many things, but silent is not one of them.
I am Andrew Buzzi, Jr, and I am running for election to the Board of Education. You may have met me in town in the past seven years that I have lived here. You could have seen me as a Cub Scout leader at one of Pack 70âs Cub Scout functions, or one Sunday morning at St Rose with my wife Michele and three children, Harrison, Rachel, and Andrew. Prior to joining the Board of Education in April of this year, I was the chairman of the Public Building Committee. You may have attended one of their meetings or noticed me walking around the Reed Intermediate School with the contractor and/or architect. You may have seen me at one of our Board of Education meetings or one morning at your childâs school watching the buses go in and out.
I grew up in Connecticut, not far from here, and my wife and I made the decision that Newtown would be the place where we were going to settle down and raise our family. I have a deep commitment and a vested interest in the well-being and positive development of Newtown. I have not been silent over the last seven years of my residency, instead I have been an active voice in working toward a better future for Newtown. With your help, I would like to continue serving on the Board of Education, bringing a strong and positive voice to the table.
