It is a pleasure and a privilege to write in support of Jim Gaston for re-election to the Board of Finance. If re-elected, Jim will provide exactly the kind of Leadership Newtown requires and deserves.

I have known Jim for about 20 years and have no hesitation in giving him my endorsement.

Jim is an individual who has worked tirelessly on behalf of our Residents for over 20 years in a variety of Senior Roles including as a Selectman and as Chair / Vice Chair of the Board of Finance. He has a proven track record of delivery and a wealth of experience that he can bring to bear in solving the Fiscal Challenges that we face and that we are going to face.

Solving these challenges require strong and calm leadership. They require our best. Jim Gaston is one of our best.

Why?

His experience working for the Town (detailed above).

His Educational Background (Double major in Finance and Economics and minor in Government from Lehigh).

His Business Experience (Running a Law Firm for 30+ years (Managing the Budget etc).

The Board of Finance is an extremely important Board. It researches, refines and recommends the allocation of our Taxpayer money. It needs people like Jim to continue their Service.

Please consider voting for Jim Gaston in the Municipal Election on November 4th.
