To The Editor:

Having lived in Newtown for over 43 years, as well as operating a waste removal company covering every road in Newtown, I have seen many changes. Our population has grown as well as the traffic within our town boundaries.

When I read the Newtown Police reports in The Bee, I believe many accidents may have been avoided. Neil has published extensively in a variety of areas of traffic safety including Distracted Driving, Occupant Protection, Older Drivers, Alcohol and Drugs, Teen Drivers, Cost of Crashes, Cause and Effect of Accidents, as well as Crash Analysis. Neil is currently heading up the evaluation of Connecticut ‘s distracted driving enforcement. I personally saw Neil in action, as he testified before our State Legislature in favor of the “Slow Down Move Over” law protecting the folks who provide services working in our roads.

With all of the above qualifications Newtown will be getting more than a Police Commissioner. You can view his qualifications online. Please vote for Neil, a well-qualified Public Servant committed to the safety and wellbeing of all the residents of Newtown! Thanks.
