I am pleased to endorse Chris Gardner for Legislative Council — District 1 in the upcoming municipal election on November 4.

Chris understands that strong government is built on transparency, accountability and a commitment to the people he serves.

Over the years, Chris has shown dedication to Newtown by serving as a member and chairman of the Board of Directors of Newtown Youth and Family Services and Senior Burgess on the Borough of Newtown Board of Burgesses. Chris also cares for the flagpole as Newtown’s Keeper of the Flagpole.

Chris previously served on the Board of Finance and for the last four years has served on the Legislative Council. He has also served on the Council’s Finance Subcommittee and the Municipal Subcommittee.

Chris listens before making a decision. He values input from residents and will work collaboratively with others. When making decisions, he keeps the current and long-term interests of Newtown in mind. Chris has the experience, judgment and dedication we need.

Please join me in voting for Chris Gardner for a third term on the Legislative Council.
