To The Editor:

I am writing to encourage all to vote for Neil Chaudhary for the Newtown Police Commission.

If there is ever a time to vote for an eminently qualified candidate that is not affiliated with one of our two parties, this is one.

The Police Commission is not a partisan board. Sometimes the most superbly qualified and most fitting candidate is not running for the party you typically vote for. His qualifications match the job perfectly ... he has been a police commissioner; he is a traffic safety expert working for both state and federal government doing exactly what he would be doing for Newtown on a volunteer basis. He might be hard to find on the ballot as he will be listed on row D and there will be a blank line between his name and the other candidates.

Please join me in voting for Neil. I have known him for many years; he is an outstanding professional who has previously served Newtown in a superb manner as a volunteer on both the Legislative Council and the Police Commission.
