The Chase Collegiate School cross country team of Waterbury has been running through their opponents this fall, sporting a 16-4 record in the Connecticut Independent School Athletic Conference (CISAC) and running consistently in the top five are Ian White (top left) and Judd Baggett (top right) of Newtown.

Running one-two for Chase are senior Glenn Van Moffaert and junior David Van Moffaert of Roxbury with Jared Rodriguez of Waterbury running third for the school. Chase lost its recent race against top-seeded South Kent, 31-38, but brought home wins against Forman, Marvelwood and Woodhall. White finished the 3.2-mile course with a time of 22:42 with Baggett following in 23:06.

The Chase Collegiate girls’ cross country team swept the meet and carries a 14-0 record.
