Chamber Oktoberfest Being Planned At My Place Restaurant
As a collaboration between the Newtown and Bethel Chambers of Commerce, an Oktoberfest after hours event is being hosted Wednesday, October 29, at My Place Restaurant, 8 Queen Street, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Local business professionals are invited to join both chambers for this festive celebration. Those who attend will have the opportunity to mingle and network with other business professionals in the newly renovated, private room at My Place Restaurant.
In true Oktoberfest fashion, guests will be sampling beer based off the original recipe for King Ludwig’s royal wedding in 1810, the genesis of today’s Oktoberfest celebrations.
The Hochzeitsbier Original Oktoberfest 1810 Gravity Oak Cask brew, straight from Austria, will be accompanied by a variety of German specialties, such as bratwurst bites, potato pancakes, spatzel, and homemade German potato salad.
Tickets are $25 ($20 for Chamber members), and includes one beer and appetizers. A cash bar is available.
Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP by October 20 on the Newtown Chamber website at www.newtown-ct.com or e-mail Alice Baye at chamber@newtown-ct.com.
