To the Editor:

It is with great pride I endorse Mitch Bolinsky for reelection as Newtown’s 106th District State Representative.  Mitch is a one-term incumbent who spent his first term establishing himself a leader in the state house by learning protocols, building relationships and most importantly performing public service for Newtowners with great compassion. 

From Cub Scouts to Economic Development to The Legislative Council to the State House, Mitch has been involved in making Newtown a little nicer since joining our community.  As a co-member of the Legislative Council with Mitch, I was always impressed by the preparations he obviously underwent for each meeting.  He was well read, understood the issues and brought the concerns of his constituents’ front and center to every meeting.  It is this motivation, knowledge and experience he will continue to bring to Hartford next session on behalf of all Newtowners.  

Mitch will bring his ideas for reducing spending by consolidating agencies, sun setting services that don’t provide a measurable benefit and demanding that the state pension fund be put back on track for full funding.  Mitch will work with JP Sredzinski, Dan Carter and Tony Hwang to promote the financial management that has benefited Newtown but has not been granted consideration in state government.   It is for these reasons and many more that I say “Vote for Mitch Bolinsky on November 4 for State Representative to the 106th District”.
