Norman J. Abdella, 85, of 40 William Street, Danbury, died on October 11 at Danbury Hospital.
He is survived by a son, Norman J. Abdella, Jr, of Sandy Hook.
Mr Abdella was born in Danbury, April 13, 1916, a son of the late Salim and Selma (Michael) Abdella. He attended Danbury schools and graduated from the Danbury Trade School. A World War II US Navy veteran, Mr Abdella was a retired building contractor. He was a member of St Peter Church, Danbury.
He is also survived by a sister, Josephine Abdella of Danbury; a brother, George Abdella of Orange; his companion, Marion Vago of Danbury; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and interment were private.
The Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
