More Time Needed

For Charter Implementation

To the Editor:

I am in support of your editorial last week on the Charter revision. The voters should reject the charter revisions for the reason stated, “…the changes implemented, if deemed appropriate by the electorate, in a measured and deliberate way.” Furthermore, it is my belief that the changes are very significant and potentially far-reaching.

Therefore, if the changes were approved at a later date, a carefully developed timetable should be established for implementation. Eliminating the Board of Selectman in 30 days after the charter vote does not seem to me what the Charter Revision Committee had in mind.

Joseph Bojnowski
