Cheerleaders Raise Money In Support Of Dogs
The Newtown High School cheerleaders are helping support animals in need in Newtown with a fundraising effort at home football games this fall. They have baked and will be selling homemade dog treats to raise money to benefit the Spay & Neuter Association of Newtown and Brian J Silverlieb Animal Care And Control Center.
The Cheerleaders will sell dog treats for $5 a bag at Blue and Gold Stadium when the Nighthawks host games on October 19 and November 9 and 21.
There will be a collection bin for those wishing to contribute canned dog or cat food which will be delivered to the Food Pantry, assisting Newtown families in feeding their beloved pets.
