Daniel Benjamin Michael

A son, Daniel Benjamin Michael, was born to Kelley (Reda) Michael and Robert G. Michael, Jr, of Newtown on September 21 at Danbury Hospital.

Daniel weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19½ inches in length. He was born at 10:17 am.

Daniel is welcomed into this world by his maternal grandparents, Lou and Katie Reda of Newtown; paternal grandparents, Ron and Karen Linden of South Salem, N.Y.; Aunt Meagan and Uncle Jeff Lamberti of New Haven; Aunt Rebekah, Uncle Mark, and cousin Kaylin Stanley of Southbury; and Aunt Trish Cianci, Uncle Casey Michael and cousins, Emma Cianci and Nathan Michael of Sandy Hook.

Colin Steven Silberfein

Colin Steven Silberfein was born to Pamela (Beer) and Eric Silberfein of Houston, Texas, on October 3 at St Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston.

Colin weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19½ inches long.

He joins a brother, Graham, who is 15 months old.

Maternal grandparents are Robert and Ruby Beer of Newtown.

Paternal grandparents are Claudette and the late Steven Silberfein of Cheshire.

Ann Kunde of New Haven is the paternal great-grandmother.

Caitlin Jenna Milks

Carrie Milks of Sandy Hook celebrated her birthday in a very special way when she and her husband, Jerrold, became parents of a daughter, Caitlin Jenna Milks, born on September 13. Caitlin also shares her birth date with her late great-grandfather, John Biros, who was born on September 13, 1913.

Caitlin weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches in length.

She has a brother, Kyle Zachary Milks, who is 3 years old.

Maternal grandparents are Wayne and Annette Thompson of Sandy Hook.

Paternal grandparents are Jerry and Sue Milks of Ocala, Fla.

Abigal Vivian Verlander

Spencer and Megan Verlander of Waterboro, Maine, are pleased to announce the birth of their first child, a daughter, Abigal Vivian Verlander, born October 1 at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddiford, Maine.

Abigal weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 inches long.

Cheryl Szarek of Sandy Hook is the maternal grandmother.
