NUMC Fall Fair

At Reed School This Weekend

Newtown United Methodist Church’s Fall Arts and Crafts Fair will be held on Saturday, October 21, from 10 am to 4 pm. The fair is moving this year to Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane (off Wassermann Way).

Reverend Yerrington, the church’s associate minister and a graduate of Pratt Art Institute prior to attending seminary, has been painting landscapes since youth and will offer a wide variety of local landscapes at the fair.

A limited edition pewter Christmas ornament depicting both the church and its adjacent Wesley Learning Center will be on sale for $10. The ornament was designed by Rev Yerrington in celebration of the church’s bicentennial anniversary in Sandy Hook. The proceeds from this special ornament will help fund the Whitman Scholarship at Wesley Learning Center.

The NUMC youth group will host their annual pumpkin sale during the arts and crafts fair. All proceeds from the pumpkin sale will be used for local missions.

This juried fair will include artists and crafters from across Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. The fair will also include homemade baked goods, theme baskets, and a silent auction.

For more information, contact the church office at 426-9998.
