What We Need

To the Editor:

As we approach the November elections, there are certain needs that merit our consideration.

The need for federal assistance in meeting local educational costs and the costs of higher education.

The need for affordable health care, similar to what our elected leaders provide for themselves and their families.

The need to keep social security as a reliable insurance program, not a risky investment program, especially as many Americans age and the pension programs of even leading American companies are becoming unreliable.

The need to face life without fear, and to maintain our freedoms and principles.

The need to resolve our differences with others by sincere, persistent negotiation carried out with courage, wisdom, and resolve.

The need to respect the humanity of all people by treating them as we would be treated within the principles set forth by our Constitution.

The need to change the prevalent attitudes in Washington by electing different people to represent us in the US House and in the US Senate.

Consider the above when you assert your power by voting on November 7.
